About Me

Jevona is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate and a National Certified Counselor. She derives deep satisfaction from nurturing environments that encourage clients to delve into their emotions and thoughts, a passion driving her continuous refinement of counseling techniques. Drawing from her experience in customer service, Jevona, who transitioned from a Customer Service specialist to an Operations Supervisor at JPMorgan Chase, seamlessly incorporated fundamental abilities like empathy, communication, conflict resolution, and a myriad of other skills into her counseling approach. Working with adolescents, adults, and couples, she addresses a spectrum of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, career adjustments, and trauma.

 

Jevona takes pride in infusing her practice with warm and holistic methodologies along with CBT, Talk Therapy, and Career Counseling. Beyond these, she extends a diverse array of services encompassing psychoeducation, trauma-focused therapy, anger management, and couples/relationship therapy. Central to her mission is cultivating safe spaces within communities where dialogues on mental health are not only welcomed but celebrated. She strives to break down barriers to open communication, ensuring individuals feel empowered to navigate their mental health journeys free from judgment or stigma.

 

Jevona earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in 2016 before pursuing her Master’s of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship at Ashford University in 2020. Jevona later pursued her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bradley University in 2023. During her tenure at Bradley, she gained hands-on experience at San Jacinto Community College, addressing various issues ranging from career guidance to trauma, relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, and learning disorders.

 

In her leisure moments, Jevona indulges her passion for travel, immersing herself in diverse cultures. With a deep appreciation for the arts, she frequently engages in painting and attends live music performances. Additionally, she enjoys activities like yoga, hiking, and cherishing time spent with loved ones.
