About Me

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, National Certified Counselor, and is bilingual (English & Spanish). She specializes in working with those of concerns with depression and/or anxiety disorders, communication, behavioral concerns, stress, self-esteem, life transitions and trauma from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about her work and is committed to helping clients improve their overall quality of life. She enjoys working with all age ranges from young children to adults and is also a Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. Jessica aims to create a judgment-free environment with her clients that is based on trust, compassion, and empathy. In establishing a collaborative relationship with clients, we are able to provide effective tools, skills, psychoeducation, process thoughts and feelings that may/may not be working, achieve goals, feel empowered and be a change agent in their life and their generation.

Jessica’s theoretical orientation is attachment based with an understanding of how family dynamics impact development. Welcoming children and families to navigate life’s different stages is what Jessica is most passionate about and hopes to bring over 15 years of experience working with different populations. Having worked in the education, research, healthcare, non-profit, and community service programs has allowed for a wide range of experiences. At this point in her career Jessica is ready to walk alongside her clients to provide quality services and support to different individuals who aspire to live their best lives.

Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia University-Barnard College in 2005 and her Master in Public Administration from MCNY in 2014. Shortly after graduating from MCNY, Jessica enrolled in Liberty University and graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2020. She has clinical experience working in the foster care system, working with survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking, providing parenting education, and working in mental health clinics.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, Pinterest #1 fan, reading, writing, poetry, dancing, crafting, and volunteering.
