About Me:

Tiffany Nowak is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  As an LCSW, Tiffany has a very holistic approach to therapy and combines more traditional modalities such as attachment work, family of origin work and Internal Family Systems work with EMDR and LENS Neurofeedback. She believes that reaching a healthy mental place comes from not only understanding where the client is as an individual, but also what is happening in their surrounding environment, relationships, and daily interactions. An important part of this process is coming to an understanding that each small change you make can have a significant impact on your entire life.

She graduated twice with two undergraduate degrees from LSU, the second in Child and Family Studies. As an undergraduate Tiffany interned with one of the few parent coordinators in southeast Louisiana working closely with the family court system. Soon after, she moved to England and received her Masters in Social Work at Kingston University London in the United Kingdom. Her experience in the UK focused on working with teens and young adults with learning and physical disabilities and their caregivers, and working with high risk foster children in emergency placements. Tiffany also participated in a special interest placement in Jinja, Uganda Africa working with women and children who had been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Both of her studies in the US and abroad have given her a wide-ranging toolset on combating the many different issues one can face in life.

 

She has worked in private practice now for 3 years and has come to specialize as a therapist  working with those struggling with Complex Trauma and PTSD, addiction, anxiety and depression, life transitions, sexual issues, self-harm & LGBTQIA+ populations. Ultimately, Tiffany believes that everyone deserves a safe place to reach their potential. She believes that anyone can work through any obstacle life brings them with the right tools and support. 

 

In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling all over the world, LSU college football, & spending time at the beach.
